Ever since This Is Us brought Mandy Moore back into our lives, she’s gifted us with plenty of hair inspiration. Now, she’s taking us to brow school.

Moore recently took to Instagram to credit her beautiful brows to microblading, the cosmetic tattoo procedure that mimics brow hair strokes with under-the-skin pigment. She shared the finished look on Instagram, writing “New brows, new lease on life.” As you can see, her tattooed brows are still an incredibly natural look that will save her lots of time in the makeup chair on set.

If Moore’s brows look completely natural, it’s a testament to the work of her brow artist Kristie Streicher. According to Streicher’s Instagram Story, she used a technique called microfeathering to fill in her client’s A-List brows. She explains exactly what this entails on her website:.

“[Microfeathering] is performed by depositing pigment superficially into the epidermis of the eyebrow. After numbing the area with a topical cream, small incisions are created, using a fine and very precise blade. Pigment is then deposited into the incisions, resulting in an incredibly natural appearing ‘eyebrow hair.'”
